Growing up in Philadelphia, it was never in Santigold’s nature to sit still. Her many titles—musician, artist, singer, producer, fashionista—are a direct product of the neighborhoods that allowed for the scene-hopping and genre-jumping that would come to define her personal style and eclectic musical palette. She’s a walking collage of where she’s been and the local flavor she picked up along the way, from childhood window-shopping on South Street to the reflective homecomings of her adulthood.
