WHAT IS JACK DANIEL'S TENNESSEE CAMPUS?

Tennessee Campus is Jack Daniel’s global Bartending programme which will be held for the first time in South Africa (Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg) in March 2020. The purpose of Tennessee Campus is to provide South African bartenders the opportunity to grow their careers and define their craft with the support of local and global mentors via a series of Tennessee Campus events.

 

These Tennessee Campus events, will give local bartenders the opportunity to:

• Receive career and business training.
• Connect and learn from local and international industry experts.
• Meet and be mentored by the Assistant Jack Daniel’s Distiller from Tennessee.
• Master their craft and unique style through an international mixology masterclass.
• Socialise with fellow bartenders whilst enjoying a true taste of Tennessee with Jack inspired BBQ, drinks and music.
• Compete to win an experience of a lifetime with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Calling.
• In April 2020, graduates will be invited to compete using the knowledge and skills learned during Tennessee Campus to become number 1 with Old. No. 7. They will also stand a chance to win a once in a lifetime experience to visit the home of Jack Daniel’s in Tennessee.

 

AM I ELIGIBLE TO ATTEND TENNESSEE CAMPUS?

Tennessee Campus is open to local South African bartenders who are of legal drinking age and over (18 years +) at the time of the events taking place. Read more whether you're eligible to attend here.

 

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?

Tennessee Campus is a complementary platform and event hosted by Jack Daniel’s to engage, connect and inspire local bartenders to take their career to the next level. Those interested in attending must register to confirm attendance via the event website here

 

HOW DO I REGISTER TO ATTEND? 

Registering is easy, simply:

1. Visit the event website.
2. Complete required personal details.
3. Submit your registration.
4. Wait to receive a confirmation mail which will be sent to the email address used to register.

 

IS THE JACK DANIEL'S TENNESSEE CAMPUS A ONCE OFF EVENT?

Jack Daniel’s is delighted to be launching the inaugural Campus events in South Africa and certain countries in wider Africa this March. Based on the success of these events, Jack Daniel’s would like to continue to offer this career and mentorship programme to the local market on an annual basis.

 

WILL I RECEIVE ONE ON ONE TIME WITH THE JACK DANIEL'S DISTILLER?

Unfortunately, we cannot allocate one on one time for all attendees to meet with our Assistant Master Distiller Chris Fletcher. Chris will be hosting a talk focused on 'Quality and Consistency' during the Campus which will be followed by a short Q&A session where he will take questions from the audience.

WILL TRANSPORT BE MADE AVAILABLE?

When registering for the event, please confirm if you’d be interested in requiring transport to and from the event.  

 

WILL THERE BE FOOD AND DRINKS?

Drinks, snacks and meals will be provided. Attendees are also invited to socialize and enjoy a true taste of Tennessee inspired BBQ, drinks and live music at the end of the day.
