The bottle's structure reimagines the HALO safety device, designed to protect the world's greatest drivers, to safeguard our finest Tennessee Whiskey. Every detail is high-performance, utilizing materials inspired by McLaren's championship race cars.
This release features a spirit as bold as its design. Starting with our signature grain bill, the whiskey is charcoal mellowed drop by drop through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal. It is then matured in handcrafted new American white oak barrels built from staves aged in the open air for a prolonged period to soften tannins and create a deeper, smoother, profile. Bottled at 58.7% ABV (117.4 Proof), it salutes Bruce McLaren's racing legacy and his very first race car, #58.
Master Distillery Chris Fletcher has crafted a liquid like no other, featuring a nose of sweet maple and toasted oak, a palate of rich caramel and chocolate, and a finish that lingers with notes of brown sugar candy.
