Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire is Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey blended with a cinnamon liqueur and bottled at 35% ABV. The cinnamon arrives on the finish rather than the first sip, with the caramel and oak of the whiskey underneath. It is made to be served chilled.
Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire carries a warm cinnamon heat on the finish rather than a sharp chilli burn. The spice builds after the swallow and fades quickly. Serving it well chilled shortens and softens that heat, which is why most people keep it in the freezer or pour it over ice.
Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire is bottled at 35% ABV, which is 70 proof in the United States. That is the standard strength across the flavored range, alongside Tennessee Honey, Tennessee Apple and Tennessee Blackberry. It sits below Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey, which is bottled at 40% ABV.
Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire is usually served cold, either neat from the freezer or over ice. It also mixes with cola, apple juice or ginger ale, all of which carry the cinnamon well. In hot serves it works with warmed cider or apple juice, where the spice reads as seasonal rather than sharp.
