About this Drink

The Tennessee Berry Mule is inspired by Lem Motlow, one of the very few people to have served as a Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller. Lem was Mr. Jack’s grandnephew, and he shared Jack’s determination to keep the family tradition going. During a few challenging moments in whiskey history, Lem operated a number of side businesses to ensure that the Jack Daniel’s name would endure.  One of those was one of the largest and most successful mule trading companies in the region, which is why we recommend raising a Tennessee Berry Mule in his honor.
